Briefly, we purchased and used the apartment as often as we could - especially my wife and her friends!! Interspersed with this, we rented it out and we used this website to assist with this. Quite frankly, bookings became so fluent that I didn’t update the site as often as I should. We have had bookings and re-bookings and well, in the end, this site just served to provide a bit of extra information for our freinds/recomm endations who had access to the internet. In saying that, do please read what the site says because it’s an excellent description of what you will be purchasing, both in the property and the locality

Torremolinos

Torremolinos was the first "well known" resort of the Costa del Sol and gained a reputation for party going and rowdy holiday makers. Consequently the resort received somewhat bad press which over the years has led to a decline in the popularity of the resort, losing out to its neighbours Benalmadena and Fuengirola. In the last few years the local authorities have made major improvements to the town and its image. With a newly modeled town centre and clean beaches Torremolinos has regained some of the charm of the fishing village it once was. The 9km of beach are busy during the summer, especially among the Spanish families that come to take their annual vacations here every year. Gone are the "party going" holiday makers, nowadays Torremolinos's foregin tourists are mainly retired couples making the most of summer sun, with temperatures often soaring into the 30oC's & 40oC's (85- over 100 F).

There are plenty of beach front cafés (called Chiringuitos) selling fried fish, snacks and refreshments, which is just as well as the walk back from the main beach into the town centre is uphill all the way. When the sun goes down the town still has its fair share of restaurants, which cater for just about every taste, should you not feel like trying typical Andalusian food. There are plenty of bars in ranging from Irish, English, Dutch and German as well as Spanish. If you're looking for nightlcubs then most of the action is now further along the coast in Benalmadena's port or in Puerto Banus, though Torremolinos has become a favourite with the gay community as a place to go out.

Calle San Miguel is a pretty little street lined with small shops and cafés, it provides a glimpse of the old Torremolinos, as a small fishing village, and is worth the walk. There isn't much in the way of museums or national monuments however there is an aquapark for children and "not so small children". There is also an equestrian centre nearby which provides dressage displays, lessons and pony trekking in the hills.

The sea-front promenade at Carihuela is renowned for its fresh fish restaurants, Sundays are especially busy with Spanish families going out for lunch and a stroll along the beach front after a sea food lunch by the sea.

Useful Information

This Apartment has been absolutely fantastic for us -

Ideal for 4 but has slept 6. The view over the Med is probably the best in the Costa Del Sol!

Although we are selling we are not deserting Calahonda or the Costa Del Sol, in fact we have purchased a Town House in the Calahonda

To support our apartment, we have rented it out. You can see the

 “going rate”

for this apartment on this site and you can also see the degree to which we have actually taken bookings. Because of the sale/rent we have not taken any bookings or updated the site calendar.

The apartment is wonderful, even though I say it myself - But for sale - is not just the apartment - its the locality to which it is part - its also the locality to Marbella, Puert Banus, Mijas Costa, Fuengirola, Benalmadena and Torremolinas.

This site shows the attributes of the Costa Del Sol which is what you will be enjoying as part of your purchase or rent

Take some time and check out the site thoroughly so you can appreciate the Costa Del Sol dream

I may have underrated the “golfing” element because the site is a little unfurnished with regards to gold

I have modified this site to reflect the SALE/RENT but previously, this site is what I used to advertise the apartment FOR RENT. With sufficient RENTAL, the mortgage can look after itself

Take a look at the HIT COUNTER - bottom left of the Home page, thats how many people have looked at the site in the last 2 years!
